The Las Vegas Formation traces a solitary passage through the outer edges of a city where time has stalled and the ground itself remembers too much. Amid home decor littering both fossil beds and the ruins of speculative development, a narrator wanders through the remnants of a civilization that mistakes repetition for progress. Personal grief and collective delusion dissolve with the desert's pale geology and the landscape becomes an archive of vanished intentions. What emerges is a portrait of Las Vegas as a haunted topography, an uneasy confluence of memory and sediment, where time drifts, stillness accumulates, and the future feels like something already unearthed.
